When/how did you join Marsh?

I joined Marsh in 2015 as a TRAC Associate in the Atlanta office. After I completed the two year rotational program, I chose to relocate to San Francisco.

Describe your time in the TRAC Program

While, I was a TRAC Associate I worked in National Brokerage and Property Placement. During my first rotation in National Brokerage I was able to develop a solid understanding of the organization and Marsh’s core coverage offerings. I worked closely with numerous Account Executives to deliver optimal results and service to our middle market clients. My second rotation in Property Placement allowed me to further my technical understanding of Property insurance. In Property Placement, I built relationships with insurance carriers and sharpened my negotiation skills.

What does a typical day look like for you?

After graduating from the TRAC Program I joined Marsh’s Sharing Economy and Autonomous Mobility Practice as an Associate Account Executive. Our team specializes in developing customized solutions for clients that challenge the traditional insurance marketplace. Our team works with an array of clients that range in size from startups to Fortune 500 companies. I manage the servicing and renewals of 10+ accounts. The exposures and regulatory environment for Sharing Economy and Autonomous Vehicle companies are continuously evolving, which create unique challenges that our team must solve.

What I enjoy most about Marsh is working and learning from some of the brightest colleagues in our industry. Marsh has a collaborative culture that encourages employees to work as a team to deliver results for our clients. I am also appreciative of Marsh’s willingness to help me transfer offices. When I expressed interest in relocating to San Francisco I received an incredible amount of support from Senior Leadership in the South East zone. They connected me with colleagues on the West Coast and made the transition a seamless process.

Do you have any advice for candidates or incoming TRAC associates?

My advice for TRAC applicants is to research Marsh and the insurance industry. I would also recommend working with university career services to prepare for interviews.
