Stream online the virtual 2020 APRA Music Awards (VAPRAS)

This month, the APRA Music Awards, sponsored by Marsh, are being held virtually for the very first time. We want to encourage everyone to get the family together, on Monday 25 May at 7:00 pm and stream the event online from the comfort of your home.

We are especially proud to be supporting the arts and entertainment community at a time where many in the industry are feeling first-hand the economic impacts of the Coronavirus pandemic. Professionals in this space were among the first to be impacted by the government’s restrictions in the face of COVID-19. In many cases, these restrictions caused mass job losses for the industry overnight.

The team at Marsh Entertainment have worked in concert with APRA AMCOS for many years to deliver insurance solutions to thousands of members and continue to collaborate and look to respond to the emerging and future risk needs of this resilient industry. In cooperation with the industry, Marsh have been working to ensure musicians, performers and event organisers alike are receiving the support and insurance advice required to help them during this unprecedented time.

Some of these initiatives include “at home” equipment insurance cover that reduces premiums by 50% for applicable clients and six-month cover extensions as an alternative to the yearly option. You can read these insights and more at, ‘Supporting our community’.

Also over the past year, Marsh Entertainment have donated $5 to Support Act for every music insurance policy sold online. Support Act, provide financial assistance to those in need within the music industry and have played a crucial role in helping the industry get through this difficult time.

Simon Calabrese, National Manager, Marsh Entertainment & Leisure, shared his thoughts on the importance of coming together as a community during these unprecedented times.
