A Proactive Approach to Engaging in a COVID-19 World — Webinar Replay

As parts of the country begin to re-open, re-engaging in the workplace and society will bring new challenges for families and businesses alike. To help you prepare yourself, your family, and your business for life in a COVID-19 world, Marsh McLennan Agency Private Client Services hosted experts from concierge medical practice WorldClinic and security risk management firm Hillard Heintze for a special webinar, which is now available for replay.

Dr. Bill Lang, Chief Medical Officer for concierge medicine firm WorldClinic, discussed some key statistics of the COVID-19 virus, noting that presenting even-handed data will be critical to “unscare” people and help them understand and manage their risk moving forward. Because the COVID-19 virus is a series of linked regional epidemics, re-opening will require multiple regions working together as well as independently to keep new infections minimized, a scenario he refers to as “The Dance.” Dr. Lang also answered questions around office configurations, the effectiveness of facemasks, and the potential for travel and returning to schools.

Mike White, Senior Vice President of Private Client and Family Office Practice with security firm Hillard Heintze, shared a few examples of families he has worked with in the past few months both to relocate to a safe haven and to address critical cyber security issues with a family working and schooling from home. He shared some cyber risk tips for protecting your home network as well as tips for considering your family’s emergency relocation plan. Having this plan in place is essential for relocation in an emergency such as a pandemic, hurricane, wildfire, or other natural disaster.

Mike also shared the following cyber risk protection tips for your home:

  • Manage privacy on smart speakers and digital assistants
  • Take advantage of password managers
  • Stay up-to-date with antivirus patches to address malware
  • Ceate your own Virtual Private Network (VPN)
  • Segment your Wi-Fi to add a “Guest” profile
  • Use non-descriptive Wi-Fi naming conventions

If you were unable to attend the live broadcast, a replay is now available.
