How Financial Institutions Can Manage the Challenging Regulatory Landscape

To help financial institutions manage and anticipate regulatory challenges, Marsh held a one-hour webcast on June 15, 2016: “The New Regulatory Landscape for Financial Institutions.”

Industry experts discussed the top concerns for financial institutions in today’s regulatory environment, including:

  • Regulatory priorities of various governmental bodies, including:
    • Securities and Exchange Commission.
    • Department of Justice.
    • State attorneys general.
    • Foreign regulators
  • The future of the Federal Consumer Protection Agency.
  • How new regulations will affect chief compliance officers.

Additionally, the panel discussed securities litigation and wage-and-hour litigation trends, priorities of the plantiffs’ bar, enterprise risk management, the latest in legal and compliance concerns, and how innovations in both new and existing insurance offerings can help manage these risks.

Marsh’s Machua Millett, chief innovation officer, lead the panel, which included attorney Timothy Mungovan, a partner in Proskauer’s litigation department and co-head of the Private Equity & Hedge Fund Litigation group.
